Richard Hersh, Ed.D. as presenter, and Derek C. Bok, LL.B., as discussant, on the topic: "Critical Thinking: Can it be taught and assessed among medical (among all) students?" Dr. Hersh is senior fellow with the RAND Council for Aid to Education (CAE); Co-Director of the CAE's Council for Learning Assessment Project; and former president of Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
Dr. Bok, emeritus and current interim president of Harvard University, established the Bok Center for Teaching and Learning to further the mission of training new university teachers. Dr. Bok is author of six books, among them, "Our Underachieving Colleges: A Candid Look at How Much Students Learn and Why They Should Be Learning More."
