DESCRIPTION HOW HUMAN HEALTH DEPENDS ON NATURE Cambridge, MA..On Wednesday, January 5, 2005, Cambridge Health Alliance will feature Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. Eric Chivian, Director of Harvard Medical School’s Center for Health and the Global Environment. Dr. Chivian will speak on How Human Health Depends on Nature. This 2nd annual Dr. Melvin H. Chalfen Lecture explores the potential consequences of global environmental change on human health. During the past 14 years, Dr. Chivian has worked to involve physicians in the United States and abroad in efforts to protect the environment, and to increase public understanding of the potential human health consequences of global environmental change. This lecture series is a tribute to Dr. Chalfen and his lifetime commitment to the public health and academic mission of Cambridge Health Alliance.
