“Important Factors Negatively Impacting Asthma Outcomes”

The Alvin F. Poussaint, MD Visiting Lecture Fund at Harvard Medical School was established with an inaugural gift from Harvard Medical School alumni/ae in honor of Dr. Poussaint. This year’s presenter, Dr. Michael B. Foggs, is the Chief of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology of Advocate Medical Group, Advocate Health Care in Chicago, Illinois. His presentation, “Important Factors Negatively Impacting Asthma Outcomes”, will examine the impact of race, airborne agents, obesity, vitamin D deficiency, and airway remodeling of the lungs on asthma outcomes.
