PROGRAMS FOR FELLOWS AND JUNIOR FACULTY
CALIFORNIA ENDOWMENT SCHOLARS IN HEALTH POLICY AT HARVARD UNIVERSITY
ELIGIBILITY
- Physicians, Dentists, and Doctoral level mental health professionals who currently reside in or are legal residents of California.
- Board eligible or certified physicians, dentists with a DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school, and accredited mental health professionals at the doctoral level.
- Awareness of, or interest and experience in dealing with, the health needs of underserved populations in California.
- Strong evidence of past leadership experience, especially as related to community efforts and health policy.
- Intention to pursue a career in public health practice, policy, or academia.
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency.
REVIEW SELECTION CRITERIA
Applications will be reviewed for academic and training qualifications; commitment to a multicultural perspective in program planning, program implementation, and policy analysis; experience with projects devoted to improving the capacity of the health care system to address the health needs of minority and underserved populations, and evidence of leadership potential.
Harvard Coordinating Committee, composed of distinguished faculty and administrators, will review applications, interview candidates, and, with the program director, make the final selection of Scholars.
