D’NYCE WILLIAMS, M.D., M.P.H., M.P.A.
Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine, Morehouse School of Medicine; Medical Officer, CONRAD/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Women's Health and Fertility Branch, Division of Reproductive Health, Atlanta, GA
Dr. Williams’ ongoing mission is to advocate for improved health for women. In her role as medical officer, she serves as a clinical consultant and develops policies and procedures for domestic and international clinical trials involving women’s reproductive health. These clinical trials investigate female-controlled methods which may enable women to protect themselves against STI/HIV and unintended pregnancies in settings where resources and opportunities for women are limited. She also provides direct clinical services to medically underserved women in addition to participating in the education and training of residents and medical students. She has been instrumental in the development and subsequent growth of an obstetric service in the International Medical Center, a model program at Grady Memorial Hospital where comprehensive, culturally-sensitive health services are provided by bilingual providers and staff. Dr. Williams is active on a national committee of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation aimed at reducing health disparities and she chairs the Quality Improvement committee on the board of directors for a local community health center.
