FELLOWS' BIOS: 2005-2006

JEAN LE CLERC RAPHAEL, MD, MPH
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine; Pediatrician, Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, TX
Dr. Raphael is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital and holds appointments in both Academic General Pediatrics and Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Raphael’s primary interests include the application of quality improvement strategies to address health disparities, health services research in pediatric sickle cell disease, minority health policy, and leadership in medical education. Currently he is working on improving health care delivery for pediatric sickle cell patients.
Dr. Raphael received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 2001. During that time, he served as an Albert Schweitzer Fellow. He completed his residency at the Boston Combined Residency in Pediatrics where he also served as a chief resident. Following his chief residency, he completed the CFHU Fellowship, and received his M.P.H. from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2006.
