PAMELA RILEY, MD
Associate Medical Director for Pediatrics, Ravenswood Family Health Center; Pediatrician/Clinical Instructor, Division of General Pediatrics, Stanford University, School of Medicine, Palo Alto, CA
Dr. Riley was most recently the Associate Medical Director for Pediatrics at the Ravenswood Family Health Center in East Palo Alto, CA, as well as a Pediatrician/Clinical Instructor in the Division of General Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, CA.
Dr. Riley’s volunteer efforts are varied. She has traveled to Peru and Guatemala to perform volunteer clinical work; tutored and mentored in a program designed to expose minority children to careers in medicine and science in Los Angeles, and at an after-school program for at-risk youth in Berkeley, CA; assisted at the Women’s Daytime Drop-In Center, Berkeley, CA; and advised on the revision of school health policies for the Ravenswood City School District.Her awards include the Rebecca Lee, MD Scholarship, Association for Black Women Physicians, awarded in 1999 to a female medical student in Southern California who demonstrates a commitment to improving health in the Black community.
Dr. Riley’s goal is to work on reforming the current health care system to ensure that access to care for underserved children is prioritized and secured. She hopes to ultimately help formulate policies and participate in initiatives which promote the provision of higher quality, more accessible health care to underserved pediatric populations.
Dr. Riley received her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA in 2000 and completed her residency in Pediatrics at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA in 2003.
