FELLOWS' BIOS: 2001-2003

CYNTHIA HODGE, DMD, MPH, MPACynthia E. Hodge, DMD, MPH

Associate Dean, Office of Community and Outreach Programs, University of Connecticut Health Center-School of Dental Medicine

Dr. Hodge joined the UConn faculty in 2003 as Director of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Pipeline, Profession and Practice: Community-based Dental Education project. As Associate Dean, her responsibilities include directing the community-based dental education program, recruitment of underrepresented students into health professions, mentoring, establishing community-campus partnerships and conducting research related to community health and health care. She also serves as the Senior Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer of a local community health center. She received her D.M.D. degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1979; an M.P.H. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has a M.P.A. degree, a certificate in Minority Health Policy and a certificate in Dental Public Health from Harvard University.
