If you are getting an error message when you complete the on-line form and press the submit button, either to register to the symposium or to submit your abstract, please check for the following:
1) Have you answered all questions except those specified as "optional?"
2) Could the information you entered in the fields be too long? Shorten them and try again. Use "go back" option of your browser not to lose the information you entered. Make your changes and click submit button again.
3) Are you using special characters which can be unrecognizable? Get rid of those characters and try again.
4) Are you using copy/paste option from MS Word or another application? If so, once you copy the information, paste it into Notepad first. Then, copy from Notepad and paste it in the form. This should get rid of all previous formatting.
5) Are you using a browser other than Internet Explorer or Firefox? If so, this may be the cause of the problem. Try it again with Internet Explorer or Firefox.
6) Are you using a Mac? In general, this should not be an issue, but it is a possibility. Try using a PC for your submission.
If your problem is still not resolved please contact Ferhan Gomulu at 617-432-1849 or ferhan_gomulu@hms.harvard.edu
