health fair
The themes for Reflection in Action include any illnesses having to do with the heart, lungs, and blood, oral health, and any health issues common in urban areas. Exhibitors from hospitals and community health agencies give written and other educational materials to students that explain disease prevention, healthy habits including healthy eating, exercise, and what it takes to have healthy communities.
Exhibitors provide interesting, hands-on and educational activities when possible. Exhibit space is limited and is provided at no cost to the exhibitors. The Health Fair is open to participating Boston and Cambridge 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders and their teachers and chaperones.
Students who visit exhibit tables get a stamp which allows them to enter a drawing for exciting prizes.
